Colorado State University proudly presents two exciting opportunities for young performers this summer. Whether your student is just beginning their theatre journey or is ready for more advanced training, our programs inspire creativity, collaboration, and growth through hands-on learning and performance.

Kids Do It All (KDIA) 2026
Grades 2–8 | Week-long day camp | June & July 2026
Kids Do It All is a music-theatre day camp where imagination takes center stage. During these week-long sessions, CSU theatre faculty and students guide campers in three age groups — Grades 2–3, Grades 4–5, and Grades 6–8 — through the full process of theatre creation.
Campers collaboratively write, design, compose, and perform original 10–20 minute musicals, gaining hands-on experience in acting, movement, voice, props and scene design, and songwriting. Each week concludes with a free Friday afternoon performance for family and friends.
A $50.00 deposit is due upon registration. Full payment is due April 30, 2026. Please register your child for the grade they will be entering in Fall 2026.

CSU Musical Theatre – Summer Intensive
Grades 9–12 | Two-week program | July 27 – August 7, 2026
Elevate your A game with Colorado State University’s pre-professional Musical Theatre Summer Intensive. Held each summer at CSU’s University Center for the Arts, this program is designed for passionate high school performers (Grades 9–12) ready to take their skills to the next level.
Please note: The CSU Musical Theatre Summer Intensive requires an application and approval process prior to registration. Approved applicants will receive a Promo Code to complete their registration. Kids Do It All (KDIA) 2026
Kids Do It All music-theatre program is a week-long day camp during the months of June and July. During the sessions, CSU theatre faculty and students guide campers in three different age groups (Grades 2 & 3, Grades 4 & 5, Grades 6, 7 & 8) through the entire process of theatre - from playwriting to performance, from design through musical composition - resulting in original plays created and performed by the campers. Camp participants collaboratively write, design, compose and then perform 10-20 minute musicals, experiencing a practical application of all aspects of theatre from acting, movement, voice, props and scene design, and songwriting. It all ends with a FREE Friday afternoon performance of the plays for friends and family.

Tuition
Tuition: $455 for your first registration; $415 each additional camper/registration

Commitment to CSU and PSD Employee Discount: $40 discount available!

Scholarships are Available: Please contact Debbie Swann by January 15 for application and eligibility. Scholarships are typically based on financial need, bringing the total to $200 for one session of KDIA.

CSU Musical Theatre - Summer Intensive
Join us for two transformative weeks of training, exploration, and performance at Colorado’s premier destination for committed high school Musical Theatre performers.
Under the guidance of CSU’s award-winning Musical Theatre faculty, you will:
- Dive deep into solo material - enriching your song interpretation and audition skills.
- Work together on dynamic group numbers, learning staging and choreography.
- Strengthen your physical and emotional connection, bringing authenticity to every performance.
- Train your voices like professionals, focusing on breath, diction, resonance, and flexibility.
This year's guest artist will be the one and only Rodney Hicks!

The Intensive culminates in a final showcase that is free to the public, featuring lighting and sound support from CSU’s student designers. This is an exciting opportunity for performers to share their growth with family and friends.
Audition Requirements
To be considered for the CSU Musical Theatre Summer Intensive, each applicant must submit the following materials:
- Link to a video recording of you singing one Musical Theatre song, no more than 90 seconds in length. Please sing a song from a Musical Theatre show, not a pop/rock or commercial piece. The best format is to upload your video to YouTube and send us a link to view it.

Written Reflection - 1 page minimum, 2 page maximum - explaining why you are a good candidate for this Intensive.

- Scholarship Request - If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, either merit or need based, please download and complete the scholarship form and submit it with your materials.
